Ruby Jean Jaramillo

–

Ogden, UT

Ruby Jean Gray Jaramillo passed away peacefully on Dec. 10, 2012, with family at her bedside. She was born in Idaho Falls, ID on Mar. 29, 1928, the daughter of Eldon LeRoy Gray and Ruby L. Snarr. Mom was very young when she married Junior Adcock in Idaho Falls. They had two boys and were later divorced. She then married James B. Keefer and moved to Ogden in 1950, where she has lived most of her life. They had three children together and were divorced after a 23 year union. After her children were raised, she married Cipriano Jaramillo, and together they were great dancers. Cipriano passed away in 1979.

Her adventurous spirit and love for her family and children will be greatly missed by all those she left behind. Her always-interesting stories conveyed a unique sense of history that spanned from the 1930's depression era to present day. She had a sense of humor that was contagious and laughter was soon heard wherever she went. Mom took pride as a skilled Chenille machine operator for over 30 years. If you own a sweater, Letterman, or Varsity Jacket that sports a fancy emblem, school mascot, or club logo, there is a good chance Mom played a part in producing it.

She is survived by four sons and their extended families, Tom, David, Bob, and Jim; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren who knew her affectionately as "Grandma Jean". Her passing will leave a void in many lives.

Preceded in death by her only daughter Janice: in 2001; and by two sisters, Arla Mae and Donna.

In keeping with Mom's wishes, a short and simple viewing/ceremony will be held at Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd., Ogden, UT on Thursday, Dec. 13, 2012 from 9:30 to 11 a.m., where family and friends may pay their respects and say goodbye. Internment will immediately follow at Evergreen Memorial Park, 100 Monroe Blvd., Ogden.

The family would like to express gratitude to the Doctors and staff of McKay Dee Hospital, Intermountain Hospice, and especially the numerous RNs and CNAs at Manor Care Health Services, who all cared for Mom in her last weeks.
