Ruth LaVon "Dickamore" La Fleur passed away on April 24, 2018. She was born on September 12, 1923 to Paul and Nellie Dickamore. She attended school in the Weber School District and graduated from Weber High School.
She met the love of her life, Konold William "Bill" La Fleur. They were married and later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. She worked at the Ogden Arsenal during the war and at Farr's Ice Cream. She and Bill had six boys, who were the love of her life. She made sure that they attended church and were involved in the Boy Scout program. Little did we know then that when she was planting those seeds in her garden, she also was planting seeds in her sons lives. She taught them how to be respectful and responsible men teaching them how to grow their own food and bake. She loved to go fishing with her family at Marsh Lake and Flaming Gorge. If they could not go as a family all together, they did not go.
She was a member of the Mt. Lewis 1st Ward and served as Relief Society President and various other callings.
She was a mother, a grandmother of 25 children, and a great grandmother to 32 children. She was preceded in death by her husband Bill, her son Robert "Bob", and grandson Zachary LaFleur. Her brothers Thomas, Leonard, Al Dickamore, and sister Betty Bradshaw.
She is survived by sons Floyd (Kathy) LaFleur of Plain City, UT, Charlie (Kelly) LaFleur, Ravensdale, WA, Steve (Ann) LaFleur, Harrisville, UT, Kevin (Carol) LaFleur, Idaho Falls, ID,
Mark (Dawn) LaFleur, Clearfield, UT, daughter-in-law Suzanne (Bob) LaFleur, Enumclaw, WA, and sister Helen Wilson of Roy, UT.
We would like to thank all those who took time to visit Mom and spend time with her. Special thanks to the staff at Our House, Legacy Hospice, and Specialty Nursing.
