Ruth McKinnon Cantone Lane

OGDEN - Ruth McKinnon Cantone Lane, 81, passed away February 23, 2008 at the Crestwood Care Center in Ogden, Utah after a long struggle with Parkinson's disease. She was born in Randolph, Utah on May 4, 1926 to Ernest and Mary Webb McKinnon. Ruth was the youngest of four sisters.

She married Jack Cantone on October 6, 1946. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Ogden Temple. They had four children: Michael, Mary Ann (George) Bersonnet, Patricia and Jackie Sue. Jack died in 1988. She married Herbert W. Lane in 1995.

Ruth was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved the church and spent many years in various church callings. She served a mission and was an ordinance worker in the Ogden Temple.

Survivors include her son, Michael; daughters, Mary Ann and Patricia. Her husband, Herbert and his sons, Kenneth (Carolyn), David (Connie), Timothy (Jeni); a sister, Evelyn Burleigh and Betty Lane Stromberg and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Jackie Sue and Katherine L. Lane; a granddaughter and grandson; and two sisters, Emma Lue Thornock and Katherine Rogers.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 27, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at Myers Roy Mortuary, 5865 South 1900 West. where family will greet friends on Tuesday from 6:00-7-30 p.m. and on Wednesday from 9:00-9:45 a.m. prior to services. Additional services will be held at 2:30 p.m. at the LDS Chapel in Randolph, Utah with a viewing from 2:00-2:30 p.m. Interment, Randolph Cemetery.
