OGDEN - Ruth Joyce Ensign Pierson, 78, died April 8, 2007 in Ogden, UT. She was born September 20, 1928 in Brigham City, UT the daughter of Elinor Stonely and Hugo Boden Ensign. She married Verle (Lefty) Pierson on May 18, 1963 and they later divorced.

She was a member of the LDS Church.

She was actively involved in volunteer work with the Foster Grandparent Program at Wasatch Elementary.

She had a heart of gold and everyone who came in contact with her loved her. She loved her grandchildren dearly. She loved working with all the children at Wasatch. They kept her young.

She is survived by her daughter Whitney Pierson Smith (Mike); son Paul E Pierson and brother Fred Ensign; grandchildren Nicholas and Brianne Smith.
