Ryan Baxter

Ryan Paul Baxter, 41, passed away unexpectedly on December 9, 2015 at Mountain Point Medical Center in Lehi, Utah from complications following a kidney transplant. Ryan was born June 28, 1974 in Brigham City, Utah, the son of Nancy Jo and Paul Kent Baxter. He married Shelley Suzanne Warren on August 13, 1998 in the Bountiful, Utah Temple.
He graduated from Box Elder High School in 1992, and served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints in San Bernadino, California. He attended Utah State University. He was currently employed at Oracle in South Jordan as a Computer Systems Administrator.
Ryan had an unusually keen mind and his school teachers were amazed at his abilities. They said that he could learn and do anything that he thought was interesting. He loved playing basketball in his youth and was a talented singer. He loved working with computers, writing poetry, playing computer games, making up little songs, and singing them.
Ryan was helpful and friendly to everyone and had a very kind and generous heart. In spite of suffering from severe effects of diabetes, he maintained a cheerful attitude and liked to put a good spin on everything. He loved his family very much and enjoyed spending time with them whenever possible. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, two children: Chad (15) Brooke (12), parents, four siblings, Cheryl (Luke) Jennings, Brad (Kati) Baxter, Joseph (Maegan) Baxter, and John (Kristi) Baxter, grandparents: John and Ione Baxter, and Richard and Zelma Jeppsen.
A memorial service will be Saturday, December 12, 2015 at 12 Noon at the Mantua 1st Ward Chapel, 237 S. Willard Peak Rd., Mantua, UT.
Viewings will be Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Myers Mortuary, 205 S. 100 E., Brigham City and on Saturday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Church. Interment will be in the Mantua Cemetery.
