OGDEN - Ryan Steven Waters, 41 passed away Thursday, June 13, 2013 at his home in Riverdale.

Ryan was born on November 13, 1971 in Provo, Utah the son of Carolyn Sue Peterson and Sidney W. Waters.

He graduated from Ben Lomond High School. Ryan married Julie Bovee and began working in his father-in-laws concrete business. While employed in that business and supporting a wife and family he put himself thru the police academy and was hired by Ogden City Police Department.

Ryan was an excellent patrol officer. He later was placed in the capacity of a school resource officer. Ryan found great satisfaction working with the youth. He later began working at Poly Excel.

He married Julie Bovee (Waters Peterson) who was the mother of Ryan's boys. They were later divorced. Ryan married Cindee Evans and they later divorced.

He was a good father who would do anything for his two boys. He had a kind heart and found joy in helping those in need. Ryan was an outdoorsman, camper, hunter and perfectionist in fly fishing. He spent time with his boys teaching them integrity, honesty and the ways of life to become men. Ryan used his life trials to become stronger to realize a purpose in life and help people who needed him.

Surviving are his sons: Braxton Waters, Bryson Waters, both of Ogden; father, Sidney Waters, Mantua; step-father, Dave Woodbury, siblings: Jaime (Justin) Wimmer, Ashley (C.J.) Kelley, Tasha (Lance) Anderson, Brandon Schow, Michonne Schow and Eric (Hilary) Waters.

Preceded in death by his mother, Carolyn Sue Woobury.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Mantua 2nd Ward Chapel, 237 S. Willard Peak Road, Mantua.

Friends may call Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:40 a.m. at the Church.

Interment will be in the Evergreen Cemetery, 100 Monroe Blvd., Ogden.
