Sandra Lee Baxter

Our beloved wife, mother, sister, daughter, mother-in-law, and family member, Sandra Lee (Grace) Baxter passed away of natural causes at Mckay-Dee Hospital in Ogden, Utah after all the family had a chance to gather round and say good-bye. Special thanks go to her incredible staff, care providers, and doctors at Layton and McKay-Dee IHC Hospitals.

Services will be held Saturday, November 7th, 2026 at noon at Myers Mortuary, 250 North Fairfield Road., Layton, Utah. A viewing will be prior to services at 11:00 - 11:45 a.m.

Sandra was born in Zion, Illinois to Dollie and John Grace. She was a graduate of Zion High School in Zion, Illinois and Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. She loved her family and always tried to broaden our horizons with new projects and experiences. She loved her children fiercely and would do anything for them. Sandra is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She and her husband Mark were married in the Oakland Temple June 11, 1983.

She was a talented seamstress and is especially remembered for her amazing Halloween outfits. Sandra was an incredibly gifted and creative artist in any medium. Sandra was a gifted Registered Nurse who worked many years as a High-risk Labor and Delivery Nurse at the University of Utah and other hospitals.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Ashley; her parents, John and Dollie Grace; her brother, John; and her sister, Gloria. She is survived by her husband, Mark; her sons, John and William; her daughters-in-law, Kiersti and Maria; her sisters, Donna Anderson and Jeanne Grace; and her grandchildren, Mark, Ellie, and Kate; and other extended-family members.

The Lord gave and the Lord hath taken away. Blessed by the name of the Lord.
