Sara W. Borseth

OGDEN - Sara W. Borseth, 89, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend passed away on Friday, May 10, 2002. She was born July 3, 1912 to William Morgan and Flaurie E. (Francis) White in Morgan, Utah.

She graduated from Morgan High School and attended BYU where she was very active in the Music Department singing in the BYU Choir and other trios and quartets. She also sang with the Ogden Symphonic Choir for 23 years. She was a supportive friend of the Utah Symphony and Ballet West.

She married Frank W. Borseth on June 25, 1946. They had two children, Ann (Mel) Barth and John O. (Denese) Borseth. She had three granddaughters, Jennifer (Ryan) Goodfellow, Sarah (Trevor) Morris, and Lindsey Borseth; and one great-granddaughter, Avery Goodfellow. Her husband preceded her in death.

She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints living in the Ogden 30th (Foothills) Ward for over 50 years where she held many callings.

She retired from the Utah Job Service office in Ogden after 33 years of service. She was a Charter Member of the Bonneville Chapter of the Business and Professional Women's Club where she was named Woman of the Year in 1973-74.

Sara was a friend to all and will be missed by those who knew her.
