Obituary for Scott Andrew Jensen
April 9, 1973 – January 3, 2025

Scott Andrew Jensen, 51, passed away peacefully on January 3, 2025, after a long and courageous battle with type 1 diabetes. This relentless disease, which he faced with incredible resilience, took a significant toll on his body, especially in recent years. Despite the immense challenges, Scott met each day with strength and courage. He found solace and joy in his passions—music, history, and above all, the love of his family. His passing brings peace knowing he is now free from pain, reunited with his Savior, Jesus Christ.

Scott was born on April 9, 1973, at McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden, Utah, to Richard and Nadine Jensen. He grew up in Riverdale, Utah, and graduated from Bonneville High School in 1991. Scott’s formative years were filled with music, athletics, and a deep love for family and friends.

A talented saxophonist, Scott’s love for music was boundless. He was especially fond of The Beatles, whose timeless melodies and lyrics were a source of inspiration throughout his life. Whether playing music or listening to his favorite songs, music brought Scott joy and comfort, particularly during his most difficult days.

Scott also had a profound love for history, a subject that fascinated and inspired him throughout his life. His enthusiasm was often shared through lively debates, fascinating trivia, or offering his opinions on well-known events. He enjoyed making history come alive for those around him and dreamed of becoming a history professor. He never missed an opportunity to share his knowledge with others.

Athletics played a central role in Scott’s life. He was a dedicated football player during his youth, an avid skier, and a passionate golfer. Golf remained one of his greatest joys until a stroke in 2018 made it impossible for him to continue playing competitively. Despite this setback, Scott remained steadfast in finding meaning and fulfillment in other pursuits.

Scott spent his professional life as a skilled low-voltage electrician. He approached his career with pride, ensuring the safety and functionality of countless homes and businesses. His work ethic and attention to detail were hallmarks of his character, reflecting his creativity and determination.

Scott married Kristen Robinson and together they had three children: Sadie Jensen, Alec Robinson Jensen, and Connor Jensen. Though their marriage ended in divorce, Scott cherished the family they created and was immensely proud of his children’s accomplishments. His children were his greatest joy and the light of his life.

In addition to his children, Scott is survived by his loving parents, Richard and Nadine Jensen, who provided unwavering care and support during his health challenges; his sisters, Brooke (Heath) Smith and Kim Jensen; and many extended family members and friends. He is preceded in death by his sister, Kelly.

Scott’s passing leaves a profound void in the lives of those who knew and loved him. His legacy of resilience and passion will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.

A celebration of Scott’s life will be held on Monday, January 13, 2025 1:00 PM at Clearfield City Cemetery 1050 State Street, Clearfield, Utah. Family and friends are invited to gather, share memories, and honor the remarkable man he was.

Scott, may you find eternal peace and harmony, free from pain, and embraced by the love of your Savior.
