"Daddy"

CLINTON -- Our beloved husband, father, son and uncle died suddenly at his home in Clinton, Utah on October 7, 2006 and returned home to his Heavenly Father and the loving arms of both sets of grandparents.

He was born on February 16, 1965 in Bountiful, Utah to Glenn and Betty J. Whitear. He was the fifth child and second son, and the little brother to his three sisters and one brother. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

He married the love of his life, Kristen Kay Brown, on March 17. 1990. She helped and encouraged him in attaining his Batchelor's of Science and Master's degree. He graduated with high honors from the University of Utah. He worked with troubled youth as a social worker and was employed by Aetna Behavioral Health at the time of his death. He had been on a short-term disability leave to try to regain his health. Kristen was a loving support throughout his illness.

Scott was a loving son to his parents. He was a happy little brother to his older brother and sisters. They spent many happy years growing up together in Bountiful, Utah and Mesa, Arizona. He was a father figure to Rachel and Andy, his sister Karen's children, and a great friend to all the others.

"Any man can be a Father, but it takes someone special to be a "Daddy." Scott was a "Daddy" in the truest sense of the word. He loved his little daughter, Jessica, with all his heart and then later shared that affection with his two little sonsa"Jacob, who was stillborn in 2000, and one year later with Jackson, who also arrived on this earth very early with special needs. They will miss their Daddy.

Scott was very interested in the Native American people and enjoyed their culture and crafts. He was passionate about nature, the outdoors, camping and fishing. His family was very dear to him and he spent many hours on art projects with Jessica and Jackson.
