Shaelyn Skeen Obituary (1983 - 2011)

Shaelyn (Shae) Skeen Plain City - Our sweet daughter, sister, friend returned home to her Heavenly Father early Sunday morning, April 3, 2011, from a sudden onset of Spinal Meningitis. She was born March 6, 1983 to Todd and DeEtt Skeen of Plain City. She graduated from Fremont High School and was a member of the LDS Church. Shae was such a kind, loving and unassuming spirit who cared for everyone and anyone without prejudice. She touched the lives of so many, and will continue to through death with her unselfish sacrifice of organ donation. It was impossible to meet her and not love her. Her quick wit and dry sense of humor kept everyone always laughing. Her passion was hockey; she played with the Wasatch Wings. She was the best player on the team, (Just ask her). Shae also looked forward to those sand dune trips to ride with her other big brothers. Shae leaves behind her love and Soul Mate, Roger Orawiec, whom she cherished with all her heart. Also her parents; brother Clint Skeen; grandparents, Doral and Virgie Howard, Lorraine Skeen all of Plain City. She also leaves many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends too numerous to count. She was preceded in death by her grandpa, Charles Clyde Skeen. We wish to thank the staff at McKay Dee ER and ICU who gave her the best care they could. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 7, 2011 at the Plain City Cemetery, 4225 W. 1975 No. with Bishop Matt Dixon officiating. Friends may call on Wednesday, April 6th from 6 to 8 p.m. at Myers Ogden Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd. In lieu of flowers the family has set up a memorial account in the name of Shaelyn Skeen at America First Credit Union.
