Shawn D. Byers

Our loving husband, father, grandfather and friend, Shawn D. Byers, passed away March 21, 2015. He was born on February 11, 1955 in Ogden, Utah to Dolores Hunt and Arthur Byers. Shawn married the love of his life, Sheryl Godfrey on August 30, 1974.
He was a graduate of Ben Lomond High School.
He was employed at Harmon's Grocer, retiring after 34 years.

Shawn enjoyed Nascar, classic cars, his 1964 Chevy Impala, fishing and 4 wheeling. His main passion was his family. He loved spending time with his grandkids.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years; children, Jennifer Byers, Jeff (Sonya) Byers and Stephanie (Gary) Mobley; sister, Sheree Byers (Steve) Weaver; 9 grandchildren, Whitney, Chad, Cody, TJ, Lexie, Samantha, Dallen, Makenzie and Emmett.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister and grandparents.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 27, 2015 at the Ogden City Cemetery, 1875 Monroe Blvd. A viewing will be held on Thursday, March 26th from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Myers Ogden Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd and prior to services from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary.

In lieu of flowers the family is asking for donations to cover expenses. There is an account in the name of Shawn Byers at any Goldenwest Credit Union.
