Shawna Ormsbee

–

Layton, Utah

Shawna Marie Ormsbee was born November 25th 1967, in Denver Colorado. She was raised in Pine Colorado by Albert Fisher and Joyce Fisher.

Her childhood was one of raising animals like goats, cattle, and horses. She developed a love for horses that would lead her to barrel racing in High School and owning horses for years to come.

She went on to have four children; Cody Warnken, Krista Fisher-Igel, Zackary Ormsbee, and Ricky Ormsbee. She traveled with her husband, David Ormsbee from Colorado, to Washington, to Texas, to New Mexico, and finally to Utah.

She developed health conditions early on and continued to manage them while caring for her children and supporting her husband in his military career. She later welcomed two grandchildren from her son, Cody; and three grandchildren from her daughter, Krista.

She struggled with worsening health conditions as time went on, but continued to persevere to spend as much time as she could with her family. She did what little she could to spread awareness of Addison's Disease, a lesser known Adrenal insufficiency condition that can have devastating effects.

Shawna was a passionate and loving Wife, Mother and Daughter. She was an example of perseverance, passion, and kindness. She was known as "Mom" to more than her own kids as she created a home that was safe for any friend to come in times of need.

She is survived by her sons, Cody Warnken, Zackary Ormsbee, and Ricky Ormsbee; her daughter-in-law, Kierra Warnken; her grandkids, Madisyn and Alexa Devaul, Oakley and Jaxson Warnken, and Aspen Sweeney; her mother-in-law, Deborah Ormsbee; and her sister-in-law, Carrie Snell.

She is met by her loving husband, David Ormsbee; her daughter, Krista Fisher-Igel; and her parents, Albert and Joyce Fisher.

Shawna's' determined, adventurous, and loving personality will be missed by all that knew her.

In light of Shawna's wishes a service will be postponed until October in which we will hold a Celebration of Life on land she was raised on as a child in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. The service will be held October 4th 2025 at the Warnken Residence in Pine, Colorado.
