Sheila Crosby

Our dear Mom, Grandma and Granny, Sheila Yvonne Draper Crosby, 86, of Ogden, Utah, passed away peacefully on September 4, 2026 surrounded by her family and was welcomed to her heavenly home by her sweet husband.

Mom was born on May 15, 1940 in Moroni, Utah to Woodrow Q. and Yvonne Rasmussen Draper. She was raised in Moroni and later Orem, graduating from Pleasant Grove High School. After marrying her sweetheart, J. Wayne Crosby, on February 26, 1960 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, they eventually settled in Ogden where they raised their family.

Mom was a loving mother to her six children, Grandma Sheila and Grams to her 18 grandchildren and Granny to her 29, soon to be 31 great-grandchildren and was equally loved and adored by them.

Mom showed her love to her family in many ways including all the delicious baking and cooking she spoiled us with at all the many family parties. Mom was a gifted sewer and was the epitome of "fix it up and wear it out" making amazing useful things out of what she had. Mom loved making her home a place where all felt loved and grandkids were spoiled!

Mom was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, where she served in various positions, with her most favorite being with the little children in the Nursery. She has a beautiful testimony of her Savior, Jesus Christ and was a faithful servant of His throughout her life.

Sheila is survived by her children; Candy (David) Florek, Melany (Paul) Fiso, Michael Crosby, Lana (William) Pettit, Tamara (John) Christian, and Heather (Brandon) Stephenson along with their beautiful families.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, J. Wayne Crosby, and brothers Que Draper and Jerry Draper.

We love and adore our sweet mom and will miss her beautiful smile, sassy red-headed personality, witty humor and just being with her.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, September 12 at the Bonneville Shoreline Ward Building, 1550 Rushton, Ogden. A viewing will be held Friday the 11th from 6-8PM at the Ogden Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd. and prior to services on Saturday from 9:00-9:45AM at the church.

Interment, Evergreen Memorial Park.
