Sheila Stevens

Sheila Stevens, age 52, passed away peacefully Sunday morning, September 16, 2018 in Taylorsville, Utah . Sheila was born May 30, 1966 in Ogden, Utah to Donal and Wanda J. Stevens. Sheila was born with cerebral palsy, but had a loving and wonderful childhood, the youngest of eight children.

Her testimony, trust and love for Jesus Christ was the foundation of her mortal life. She served in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as Assistant Secretary in the Relief Society. Her mother had been the Secretary of the Relief Society for many years of Sheila's life and when Sheila was called, she was so thrilled the Lord would trust her with this calling. Sheila loved to serve in the temple.

Sheila's life has been an example and testimony of love to all who have been blessed to know her. She is loved for her sense of humor and quick wit. Sheila's feet hit the ground running!

Sheila is survived by six of her siblings: Helen (Dick) Walter, Eugene (deceased) (Lola) Stevens, Betty (Charlie) Matthews, Shirley (Duane) Vandever, Ilene Casteel, Keith (Alis) Stevens, Gail (Bill) Huddleston. She is also survived by Matthew, Clarissa, Olivia, Emily and Holly. Also mourning her death are her many friends at Legacy House of Taylorsville and the members of the Westbrook 11th Branch of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Sheila's viewing will be Saturday morning, September 22, 2018 from 9:00 to 10:45 a.m. with the funeral services to follow at 11:00 a.m. at Myers Mortuary located at 5865 South 1900 West, Roy, Utah. Sheila will be buried next to her mother in Clearfield City Cemetery, Clearfield, Utah.

A memorial service will be held at Legacy House of Taylorsville, 6302 Gold Medal Drive, Taylorsville, Utah at 6:00 p.m. Sunday,
