Keith "Kc" Cates Shearwood Obituary (1927 - 2014)

Keith Cates "KC" Shearwood CLINTON - Keith Cates "KC" Shearwood, 87, passed away Monday, July 14, 2014 at Davis North Hospital in Layton. He was born April 30, 1927 in Minatare, NE, to James Albert and Bessie Lavern Wilson Shearwood. He married Sherrie Reid on September 23, 1976 in Pocatello, Idaho. He was a veteran serving in the Army during World War II. KC was a member of the Catholic Church. KC enjoyed farming and cattle, baseball, gardening, cards, reading and raised the best corn and red potatoes in Utah. KC was a member of the United Transportation Union for 65 years. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his wife Sherrie of Clinton; his children: LeRoy Shearwood of Roosevelt, UT; Catherine Morrison (Mel) of Sacramento, CA; Lavern Delker; Shani Mortenson (Monty) of Morgan, UT; Rocky Ganske (Cathy) of Toronto, Canada; Tracy Ganske (Sharon) of Willard, UT; 20 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, two sisters, and a daughter Tina Curtis. Memorial service will be held Friday, July 18, 2014 at 3 p.m. at Myers Roy Mortuary, 5865 South 1900 West, Roy.
