Sherry Stevenson

–

Ogden, Utah

Sherry Victoria Stevenson, born on the 7th of January 1956, in Pittsburgh, PA, was a beacon of love and warmth to all who knew her. Her radiant spirit will continue to shine through the lives of those she touched. Sherry was a woman of faith, a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, who lived her life in accordance with the verse, "By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another" (John 13:35). Her compassion and love were not only felt by her family, but by those she served in her work and the community of Ogden, Utah, where she resided.

Before retiring, Sherry worked tirelessly as a secretary for the Northern Utah H.I.V. Collation, a non-profit organization, where she exemplified the values of courage and kindness. She had an adventurous spirit that was evident in her love for fishing and gardening. Sherry was also known for her exceptional culinary skills, especially her barbeque which was loved by all. She was a loving mother, a doting grandmother, and an exceptional friend who cherished her family above all else. She imbued her home with warmth, filled her garden with life, and graced every gathering with her delicious meals.

Sherry was a compassionate soul who left footprints in our hearts that will never fade. She was preceded in death by her long-time companion, Larry Darnell Reeves, a grandson, Donavan Fisk, and is survived by her mother, Minnie Wallace, her daughter, Lisa Gutierrez and a son, Terrell Stevenson, grandchildren, Dajah, Major, Victoria, Vivian and great-grandson Conner. Despite the void that her departure has left, her courageous spirit, loving heart, and the memories she created will continue to inspire and guide those she left behind.
