ROY - Stephen Kerry Smith, 67, passed away Saturday, July 27, 2013.

He was born July 23, 1946 in Rochester, Indiana to Dale Bromly Smith and Mildred Beck.
He married Jane Ann Pope. They later divorced. He married Carol Ann Shoell on May 23, 1986 in the Ogden Temple.

Stephen served in the U.S. Marines Corps during the Vietnam War.

He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He fullfilled a full time mission in the East Central States. He loved attending the Temple and doing Genealogy research. He was a ward family history consultant. He was involved in scouts and obtained the rank of Eagle Scout. He umpired baseball at all levels for 40 years.

He is survived by his wife Carol, children, Sandy (Danny), Kelly (Chris), Luke, Byron, Mindy (Kenny,) Mary, Tammera (James), Amanda, Timothy, Pamela, Barbara (Eric), Pauline (Johnathan), 31 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Also surviving are siblings Sherry (Ralph) Rameriz, Jared Smith, Clint Smith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son James, daughter Cynthia Michelle Dummar.

Funeral services will be held Friday, August 2, 2013 at 2 p.m. at the Roy 1st Ward, 5850 South 2575 West, Roy. A viewing will be held Thursday at Myers Roy Mortuary, 5865 South 1900 West from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday at the church from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. prior to services.

Interment, Hooper City Cemetery where Military Honors will be accorded.
