Steven Richard Gilgen, our beloved husband, father, and grandfather passed on to the next life on February 8, 2023 at the age of 72 after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born June 30, 1950 to Jesse Edward and Barbara Smith Gilgen of Logan, Utah and was the youngest of 6 children. He had a happy childhood growing up in Logan with many friends and spent many days fishing at the 1st dam.

He retired after 30 years of working for the Federal Government and spent his retirement golfing, teaching his grandchildren how to fish, and going on mountain hikes with his best furry friend Buddy. His grandchildren were the light of his life. He also spent time with his family vacationing, camping, fishing, and golfing.
Steve is survived by his wife; two daughters, Jamie (Ryan) Shaw, Lindsey (Jimmy) Hauser; and four grandchildren, Kristen Shaw, Wade Shaw, Mason Hauser, Matthew Hauser; and other family members and friends.
