Susan Rohmer Arave

Reunited again! Susan Rohmer Arave our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away into the waiting arms of her Beloved Husband on Friday, June 15, 2018. She was born in Ogden, Utah to Harold W and Norma Rohmer. Her childhood was spent in Ogden with her 2 brothers and 4 sisters. She graduated from Bonneville High School.

Susan married the love of her life, Gordon Arave on May 26, 1967. They were later sealed in the Ogden LDS Temple. Together raised 4 children. The Arave's home was always open to everyone. They loved and cared for many people.

Susan was an accomplished seamstress. She could make anything from wedding dresses to baby clothes. In her later years she used her talents to make blankets and hat for the neonatal units of the local hospitals and for the churches humanitarian efforts. She also made beautiful doilies for several LDS Temples.

The family she leaves behind will miss her more than words can say. She is survived by three children: Shane (Kristy) Arave, Char'Ree (Bart) Oleson, Ryan (Maggie) Arave, eight grandchildren, Brittany, Kaitlynn, Caleb, Connar, Jacob, Hayden, Gavin, Brooklynn, 4 great-grandchildren. Her brothers and sisters: Kent (Carol) Rohmer, Gary (Janice) Rohmer, Janet (Randy) Bone, Gale (Kenny) Hamer, and Debbie Colby.

She was proceeded in death by her husband, son Scott Arave, parents and sister Jodie.

The family would like to thank Brighton Hospice, especially, Alice Bosworth, and Tiffany Butler for their loving care. We would also like to thank Char and Bart for taking time out of their lives to help care for mom over the last year.

Funeral services will be held Friday, June 22, 2018 at 11:00 AM. With a viewing Thursday, June 21, 2018 from 6:00-8:00 PM and prior to the service Friday 9:30 - 10:30 AM at Myers Mortuary, 5865 South 1900 West Roy, Utah

Interment will be at the Hooper City Cemetery.
