It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Susan Marie Mallory, whose journey through life came to a peaceful end on October 7, 2026, surrounded by love and support in her daughter Jaime's home. Born in Kingman, Kansas, on September 9, 1954, Susan brought immense joy, warmth, and love to all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Throughout her life, Susan displayed remarkable resilience and adaptability. She resided in various cities across the United States, including Kingman, Wichita, and Kansas City, Kansas; Goodsprings, Nevada; and Seaside and Oakhurst, California, before finally settling in Ogden, Utah.
Susan married Curtis Lane Blank in Wichita, Kansas, on February 2, 1974. Though the marriage later ended in divorce, they were blessed with two children, Heath and Jaime. She later married Terry Lee Mallory on May 5, 1979. They shared 45 years of marriage until Terry's passing on February 25, 2025.
Susan earned an Associate of Science degree in Business from Monterey Peninsula College in 1992. Throughout her professional career, she was a diligent and dedicated Accountant and Payroll Manager whose expertise was respected and appreciated by colleagues and peers alike.
In her leisure time, Susan found joy and comfort in crafting, sewing, and snuggling with her beloved pups. Her creativity and love for animals were just a few of the countless ways she expressed her caring and compassionate nature.
Susan is survived by her children, Jaime Blank and Heath Blank; her beloved dog, Charley; her siblings, Larry Schwartz, Judy Smith, Brian Schwartz, Lynn Schwartz, and Deanna Schulz; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert E. Schwartz and Alberta A. Schwartz; her husband, Terry Lee Mallory; and her cherished fur babies, Fancy, Maggie, Maxwell, Meghan, Gino, Molly, Mandy, Robbie, Mia, and Lucky.
The family extends special thanks to Jolene Orem, Susan's closest Utah friend; Jaime's army of friends; and Primrose Home Care and Hospice for their unconditional kindness, love, and support during Susan's final days.
Susan's memory will forever live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all those whose lives were touched by her kindness and love.
A Graveside Service will be held at the Utah Veterans Memorial Park 17111 South 1700 West, Bluffdale, Utah 84065 on Monday, October 26, 2026 at 12:00 Noon.
