Susan Marigoni

–

Hooper, Utah

With a warm heart and a sly smile, Susan Marigoni was friendly and caring. Born in Ogden, UT on July 10, 1952, she journeyed through life with a passion and love for animals. Whether it was her beloved cats, stray animals she found, or the geese she loved to watch fly, Susan's appreciation for animals was observing them in their natural environment.
She was a huge fan of the Ogden Mustangs Hockey team. She and Murray the Mustang, the mascot, were BFFs. Susan loved taking road trips through National Parks because of the breathtaking scenery. She enjoyed her time as a passenger on the Harley feeling connected with nature.
Susan's life was characterized by a witty and creative spirit. She spent her early years in Ogden, graduating from Ogden High School. She enjoyed working at Bratten's Grotto in Ogden because of the people she worked with. She then worked at Cutter Laboratories. It was there she met Roger, her future husband, and many other friends who became like family. She later found a rewarding career with the Ogden School District working with special needs children. This work, first at Grand View Elementary and later at Club Heights Elementary, was a testament to her compassion for these special children. She also volunteered her time at the Humane Society, helping to place animals in loving homes.
Susan is survived by her husband, Roger Marigoni, daughter, Amye (Viktor) Sutryk and four grandchildren. She also leaves behind her brother, Timothy Holm, mother-in-law, Barbara Marigoni, brothers-in-law, Gregg (Nancy) Marigoni, Brent (Debbie) Marigoni and Mark (Audrey) Marigoni who will miss her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Mae Holm, sister-in-law, Betty Holm, and father-in-law, Robert "Bob" Marigoni.
A visitation for friends and family will be held on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, from 9:00 - 10:00 am at Myers Mortuary 5865 S 1900 W, Roy, UT. A graveside service will follow at 10:30 am at Hooper Cemetery, 5301 S 6300 W, Hooper, UT.
Let's remember Susan not for her departure, but for the love, compassion, wit, and creativity she infused into her life and the lives of those around her.
