BOUNTIFUL - Susan Elva Moulton Mayhew, 104, passed away Saturday, March 6, 2010. She was born to John W. and Susan McDonald Moulton on December 24, 1905 in Heber, Utah. She married Burdett Mayhew on January 2, 1924 in the Salt Lake Temple. He passed away on August 16, 1990.
Elva was a life long member of the L.D.S. Church fulfilling all the callings that came her way. Her favorite was temple work. She was known for her superb ability to sew, making her own and family clothes, embroider, crochet, knit, and quilt. Her ability to cook was second to none. Each dish was prepared with love.

Elva is survived by daughters, Althora (Ned-deceased) Fairbanks, Willard, Utah; Lareta (Leo) Brady, Duchesne, Utah; and son, Burthel "Burt" (Sylvia) Mayhew, West Jordan, Utah; 19 grandchildren, 68 great-grandchildren, and 39 great-great-grandchildren.
Elva was the oldest of six children and she outlived all of her siblings and their spouses.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, four sisters and one brother.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 13, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Bountiful 18th Ward, 165 S. 1000 E. Bountiful, Utah.
The family will receive friends and relatives on Saturday, March 13, 2010 from 10:00 a.m. to 10:50 a.m. at the church.
Interment will be in the Utahn Cemetery near Duchesne, Utah.
