T Maxine Moorhead Obituary (1922

T. Maxine Moorhead West Haven - Our beloved mother, T. Maxine Moorhead, 79, passed away Saturday, September 29, 2001 at her daughter's home in Hooper of complications from a stroke. She was born September 17, 1922 in Honeyville, Utah to Alma Merrill and Blanche Eliza Hunsaker Oram. She married Sherman E. Moorhead on December 24, 1941 in Preston, Idaho. He died on January 12, 1983. She was a member of the LDS Church and served in the Primary, was a visiting teacher, served as a temple worker in the Ogden LDS Temple for many years. Maxine was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She was a wonderful cook who loved to camp, garden and crochet (making afghans for all members of her family). She was greatly loved by everyone and she will be truly missed. Surviving are her children, Janae (Dick) Smith, Sunset; Elaine (Garth) Douglas, Hooper; Karen (Roger) Gillman, Clinton; Shirley (Von) Barfuss, Tremonton; Gaylene (Richard) Jensen, Littleton, Colorado; 19 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, one sister, Violet Opheikens, Ogden. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers, one granddaughter and one brother-in-law.
