Taunia Sanchez Obituary (1965 - 2023)

Taunia Jo Sanchez, 57, of Willard, Utah passed away February 2, 2023. Taunia was born on July 27, 1965, in Ogden, Utah to Dale and Karen Bowen Hofmann. She grew up in the Roy area and graduated from Roy High School Class of 1983. Taunia worked at Autoliv for 22 years where she met the love of her life, Richard Sanchez in 1996, when Autoliv was called Morton International. Taunia and Richard were inseparable from the moment they met and enjoyed a long courtship. They were married on August 21, 2004, in Farmington, Utah, and they are the parents of five children. Taunia loved her dogs! She loved playing games, especially puzzle games. She also enjoyed camping, fishing, painting rocks, and rock tumbling, especially in the Oneida Narrows on the family property. She loved gardening and grew a garden each year. She loved going through her jewelry and sorting it. She loved hats, loved family trips to the Oregon coast with her sweetheart. Taunia's family wish to express a special thanks to Taunia's very special friends, Jody and Sheree. Taunia is survived by her husband Richard; children Karlie Sanchez, Ryan Jacobson, Travis Jacobson, Megan Nelson, and Braden Sanchez; 7 grandchildren; 3 grand dogs; her parents Dale and Karen Hofmann; and sisters Sheri, Marci and Kristi. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2023, from 12:00 - 1:00 p.m., with a visitation from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd., Ogden, Utah.
