Terrell Rees Mifflin Obituary (1936 - 2017)

Terrell (Terry) Rees Mifflin March 8, 1936- September 26, 2017 Terrell (Terry) Rees Mifflin was born in Malad, Idaho on March 8, 1936 to Howell H. and Eliza Mae Rees Mifflin. Terry moved to Utah in 1940. He lived in Ogden, Utah, and later moved to Roy, Utah and graduated from Weber High School in 1954. Growing up Terry was always involved in sports, playing fast pitch softball, basketball, and later took up a love for golf. Terry could be found on the golf course daily after retirement. Terry worked at Swift & Co. until 1970. He later worked at Colletts Furniture, and then worked at ATK Thiokol as an x-ray technician. He retired in 1995. Terry had to have a heart transplant on August 27, 1995, and we thank this family for giving him a heart. Terry married Julie Rasmussen in 1955. Together, they had four beautiful daughters. They later divorced. On August 15, 1964, Terry married Deloris Pali Rees. She had a son, Daniel Glen Rees. He meant the world to Terry. In 1967, they had a little girl and named her Shauna Mae Mifflin. She was the light of his eyes, and passed away in 2002. Terry and Deloris were sealed in the Bountiful LDS Temple on January 31, 2004. Through Terry's health issues, Deloris was the best wife and caregiver he could have asked for. Terry is survived by his wife, Deloris Pali Rees Mifflin; daughters, Michelle (Jeff) Spencer, Nanette (Bruce) Shaw, Nadine Jolly and Terry Denise (Tim) Tiner; Stepson, Daniel (Marilyn) Rees. He is also survived by one sister; Betty Bushman, and brothers; Gary Mifflin and Wayne Mifflin. Terry was preceded in death by his daughter, Shauna Mae Mifflin; his sister, Darla Peterson; brother, Howell Mifflin; his parents, Howell and Eliza Mae Rees Mifflin. He was a proud grandpa of 27 grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 30, 2017, at 11:00 A.M. at Myers Mortuary 5865 South 1900 West, Roy. Visitation will be held Friday, September 29, 2017, from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Myers Mortuary, and prior to services from 9:30 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. Interment Roy City Cemetery.
