Thomas Hodges Fishburn

SO. OGDEN - Thomas Hodges Fishburn, 54, passed away Monday, August 27th, 2001 at McKay-Dee Hospital due to complications from surgery.

Tom was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on January 11, 1947, the son of Russell W. and Katherine Hodges Fishburn. He grew up in Brigham City, Utah, where he graduated from Box Elder High School in 1965. He graduated from Utah State University in 1970 with a degree in Wildlife Biology. He married Martha Rhodes in 1965. They were later divorced. He married the love of his life, Dianne Lambert O'Brien on March 4, 1996.

Tom was a member of the LDS Church. He was a horticulturist for Utah State University Extension Agency. He was also a Process Server for many years.

Tom loved to hunt. He worked as a seasonal hunting guide for the Bear River Duck Club (Millionaire Duck Club) for many years. He was an avid waterfowl and upland game bird hunter.

He is survived by his wife, Dianne of So. Ogden; his son, George, Northridge, CA; step-daughter, Tessa (Bruce) Strong, Sandy, Utah; stepsons, James (Nicole) Beebe, Park City, Utah; and Brian (Angela) Beebe, So. Ogden, Utah; his mother, Katherine H. Fishburn, Brigham City, Utah; sister, Nancy Holt, Brigham City, Utah; nephew, Brett Holt, Brigham City, Utah; aunt, Kay (J.C.) Hunt, St. George, Utah; uncle, Noble Fishburn, So. Ogden, Utah; nine step grandchildren; and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Russell W. Fishburn, DDS; and grandparents, George and Esther Hodges, and Noble and Margurete Fishburn.
