Born on November 30, 1929, Thomas O'Grady died peacefully at home in the early morning hours of November 11, 2009.

Tom was born in Morristown, New Jersey to Thomas and Emily O'Grady. He spent his earliest years in Boonton, and graduated in mechanical engineering from what is now known as the New Jersey Institute of Technology. He was employed by Reaction Motors, Inc. (later acquired by Thiokol). He worked with passion in the rocket propulsion industry for almost 40 years, rising to the position of manager of the space shuttle program control office.

Tom married Eleanor Glennon on January 19, 1957. They moved from New Jersey to Brigham City, Utah in 1969 and enjoyed raising their family and being active in the community. Tom was very active in St. Henry's Catholic Church. He served with pride in many positions within the Knights of Columbus, including a two-year term as State Deputy. He also enjoyed regular rounds of golf and international travel, including three trips to Ireland.

Tom is survived by his wife, Eleanor "Elly", and sons: James (Heather), Thomas (Amy), and Kevin (Alison); seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Robert (Clare), and many dear cousins and friends. The family is especially grateful to Alpine Hospice and Dr. John Markeson for their support and care.

Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Monday, November 16, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Henry's Catholic Church, 380 S. 200 E, Brigham City, UT.
Sunday at Myers Mortuary, 205 S. 100 E., Brigham City, UT. Rosary will be at 5:30 p.m. and friends may call from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to your favorite charity.
Interment will be in the Brigham City Cemetery.
