Tim Shurtleff

–

Roy, Utah

Tim Dunn Shurtleff went peacefully home on Wednesday, May 22, 2024. He was born on March 27, 1959, in Ogden, Utah, to Warren Nelson Shurtleff and Leda June Dunn.
Raised in Ogden, Tim graduated from Ogden High School. After serving a mission in Japan, he met his beloved wife, Lisa. They were married in the Ogden Temple on August 5, 1982.
Tim dedicated 15 years to the Driver's License Division, during which he taught many young neighbors and family members how to drive--a service deeply appreciated by many parents. He later joined Hill Air Force Base (HAFB), where he started painting F-16s and eventually became a scheduler until his retirement in January 2020.
A devout member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Tim served faithfully in numerous callings. He cherished his time at the temple, which was one of his happy places.
Tim's favorite vacations were camping trips with family and friends. Known as the "camping chef," he loved cooking for everyone and was always prepared with any forgotten essentials. Bear Lake was one of his cherished destinations.
Tim's family was his world. He treasured one-on-one time with his grandchildren, who adored him. Together, they played games, watched movies, and enjoyed countless wheelchair rides.
A man with a servant's heart, Tim helped many people and instilled the importance of service in his children.
Tim is survived by his loving wife, Lisa; his three children, Jordan (Randee) Shurtleff, Lacie (Trevor) Swenson, and Dawson (Rylee) Shurtleff; and his eight beautiful grandchildren. He is also survived by his six siblings: Richard Shurtleff, Carolynn Phelps, Jean Bowen, Darla Weston, Celestia Shurtleff, and Chuck Shurtleff.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to his doctors, MaryBeth Scholand and Jeff Anderson, and the compassionate Canyon Hospice workers, especially his nurse, Teisha Rees, for their exceptional care. Additionally, the family is deeply grateful to all the friends and family who came and said goodbye in his final days.
Tim Dunn Shurtleff will be dearly missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.
