West Haven, Utah
In the good old town of West Haven, Utah, we bid a fond farewell to our beloved Tim Neal. Born on June 6, 1945, in Malad City, Idaho. Tim set a high bar for compassion, humor, generosity, and love. The man loved Hostess Snowballs and Dr. Pepper. He was always the life of the party, even when the party was a funeral.
Tim found his calling as a Funeral Director and was a staple at Myers Mortuaries until his retirement in 2020. He had an uncanny ability to bring light to the darkest of days, offering comfort with his trademark humor and a compassionate ear. His first love was for his Savior, Jesus Christ, and he served diligently in all his church callings for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. As stated in Doctrine and Covenants 18:10, "Remember the worth of souls is great in the sight of God." And Tim did just that. He also had a soft spot for flying airplanes, going for drives (preferably on the backroads), camping, and watching westerns. Did we mention he raised pigs and goats?
Tim was a devoted family man, sharing his love for BYU sports and building things with his wife, Nancy, his children, Archie (Joni), Teresa (David), Tim (Jen), Nicole, and his step-children, Clint (Adriana), Cort (Danielle), and Mauri. He was an adoring grandpa to 26 grandkids, 15 great grandchildren, and a loving brother to BarDonna and Dian. Tim was preceded in death by his parents, Archie and Letha, his first wife, Jackilyn, and his siblings, LaMont, LaRonna, Lowell, John, Eileen, and Bernon.
Tim, you were the best husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and pig-raiser we could have asked for. You will be greatly missed. And while we can't follow you down every backroad, we'll keep your spirit of adventure alive.
Graveside services will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 29, 2026 at the Malad City Cemetery, located at 375 South 300 East, Malad, ID.
