It is with profound sorrow and a deep sense of loss that we announce the passing of Todd Joseph Bennett, born February 26, 1978, in Providence, Rhode Island. Todd, a cherished brother and friend, left us too soon on October 8, 2026, leaving a void in our hearts that will never be filled. Despite these moments of sadness, we take solace in knowing that he is now at peace, reunited with his family who have gone before. We are reminded of the verse from the Book of Mormon, "But behold, it was not so; but it was appointed unto men that they must die; and after death, they must come to judgment."
Todd was a vibrant soul, one whose laughter and zest for life were infectious. Born in Rhode Island, Todd relocated to Utah during his formative years. Throughout his life, he navigated the world in his wheelchair. But this never hindered his spirit nor his capacity to spread joy and laughter. His youth was characterized by a playful spirit and a knack for harmless mischief, lighting up every room he entered and warming the hearts of those fortunate to know him.
Todd was a connoisseur of life, embracing every opportunity for joy and connection. His love for sports was immense, particularly hockey. As a dedicated fan of the Mammoths, Todd derived immense pleasure from attending games and supporting his team, a reflection of his unwavering loyalty and passion. His hobbies extended to Transformers, drawing, video games, and Marvel movies, each providing him with avenues for self-expression and joy. Todd found great fulfillment in his work at Enable, where he not only formed meaningful relationships but also found a sense of community and belonging. His weekly visits to his beloved sister Michelle were a testament to his love for family and the value he placed on companionship.
Todd's life was a testament to the power of resilience, the beauty of joy, and the importance of connection. He is survived by his siblings, Rudy and Michelle, who hold dear the memories of their beloved brother. He is preceded in death by his parents, Romeo and Claire Bennett, and siblings, Louise, Nancy, Denise, Cha, Alicia, and Big Bennett.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 23, 2026, at 11:00 am MDT at Myers Evergreen Memorial Park, 100 Monroe Boulevard, Ogden, Utah. As we gather to commemorate Todd's life, let us remember him as he was - full of life, laughter, and love. We invite you to share your memories to www.myers-mortuary.com, and upload photos of Todd to his memorial page as we celebrate his life and remember the joy he brought to ours.
