Trent S Van Leuven Sr Obituary (1940 - 2011)

Trent S. Van Leuven Sr. Ogden - Trent S. Van Leuven Sr., passed away May 30, 2011 after an extended hospital stay, surrounded by his family. He was born April 19, 1940 in Burley, Idaho to Earsel Van Leuven and Bertha Stevenson Van Leuven. He served honorably in the US Army. He married Sharon Guiles; they were later divorced. He married Rachel George on October 12, 1975 in Elko, Nevada. He had worked as a farmer, a cowboy, was a forklift driver for Amcor and a truck driver for Fife Rock Co. Trent enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, his children and grandchildren and Jeep-Jeeping. He is survived by his wife, Rachel of Ogden; his daughter Kim (Jeff) Warr of Murtaugh, ID; son, Trent S. Van Leuven Jr. of Ogden and a special daughter-in-law, Debbie (Brian) Smith of Willard; eight grandchildren, Nathan (Ali) Van Leuven, Tana Van Leuven, Trevor Simmons, LaNelle Simmons, Kayla (Matt) Nozak, Britney Warr, Desmond Stapleton and Chandra Lake Van Leuven; his brother, Bruce (Sally) Van Leuven; sisters, Donna (Boyd) Cardon, Iris (Jack) Warren, Sharrol (Wayne) Williams, Jerri (Terry) Martindale; sister-in-law, Ila Van Leuven. Trent was preceded in death by his parents; one son Richard "Rick" Van Leuven; his sister, Carol and brother, Boyd. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 4, 2011 at Myers Evergreen Memorial Park, 100 Monroe Blvd. In lieu of flowers you may make a contribution to a charity of your choice.
