She was born on February 20, 1917 in Oakley, ID, she was the ninth of ten children of Andrew and Inger Maria Anderson Peterson. She graduated from box Elder High School in Brigham City. On August 20, 1937, she married Hyrum Lamont Boothe in the Salt Lake Temple. The made their home in Ogden.

Twila was the loving mother of six children; Sharon (Grant) Seegmiller, Kaysville, UT; Duane (Linda) Boothe, Roy, UT; Dennis Boothe (deceased); Vicki (Frank) Johnson, Washington Terrace, UT; Sandy Boothe, Ogden; Kevin (Sandy J.) Her greatest accomplishment in life was the devoted care she gave to her children, two of whom came into this world with special needs.

Twila was an active member of the Ogden 21st Ward. She served in the Primary for 30 years in several capacities. She also served as Stake Relief Society board member, and was an active visiting teacher. She worked with the Open Door Shut-In Association for many years. She was also a member of the DUP.

In 1958, Twila was fortunate to be chosen "Queen For A Day" on a national television broadcast. She used everything she won to benefit those she knew.

She was a gifted artist and cook and she loved to do handiwork. She shared everthing she made with others.

Her door was always open to anyone who needed shelter and care. Many family members and neighbors have benefited from her tender nurturing. She loved to plan and organize and was exceptionally gifted in putting together many memorable occasions for both family and friends.

Twila is survived by her husband, children, 17 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren, two brothers, Ivan Peterson and Weston Peterson, both of Ogden.
