Twila Lee Thon Obituary (1930 - 2004)

TWILA LEE THON LAYTON, UT - Twila Lee Thon, 73, passed away January 23, 2004. She was born June 9, 1930 to R. D. and Ethel Swiley Showers at Dodge City, Kansas. She married Wayne Edward Thon October 24, 1947 in Syracuse, Kansas. They were later sealed in the Seattle Temple on June 9, 1989. Wayne passed away on July 23, 1995. Twila is survived by four daughters and one son; Rebecca (Lee) Vallette, Layton, UT; Connie (Daniel) Young, Loveland, CO; Lanna (Scott) Kaneiss, Jacksonville, AR; Larry (Diane) Thon, Port Orchard, WA; Marsha (Nathan) Crews, Calhan, CO. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and four sisters; Emogene Walkinshaw, Holly, CO; Alice Albers, Garden City, KS; Viola Jewel, Great Bend, KS; Mary Woodward, Port Orchard, WA. Also surviving is a special nephew, Tom Walkinshaw, Simla, CO. She is preceded by her husband and one sister, Pauline Walkinshaw.
