Tyler Gordon Kent
October 1, 1981 – December 13, 2024

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Tyler Gordon Kent on December 13, 2024. Tyler was a beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend—a man whose warmth, kindness, and light touched everyone who knew him.

Born on October 1, 1981, to Henry Moroni Kent and Diana Lynn Brandvold Kent, Tyler grew up in Clinton, Utah. As a young man, he earned his Eagle Scout award at the age of 15, a testament to his determination and character. Tyler graduated from Northridge High School in 2000, where he excelled in music, playing saxophone in the jazz band, and was a proud member of the swim team. From 2001 to 2003, Tyler served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in São Paulo, Brazil, where he shared his love and faith with others.
Tyler earned both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting from Weber State University and built a successful career as a Certified Public Accountant. He took great pride in his work at Accent Countertops, cherishing the relationships he built with his coworkers and boss. Over the years, Tyler’s career took him around the globe—Nigeria, Ghana, South America, Asia, and beyond—where he turned business trips into adventures, always connecting with people wherever he went.
Tyler was blessed with three beautiful children—Kaden Tyler, Kyson Xavier, and Miajolie Kent—who brought him endless pride and joy. His children thrived academically, inheriting their father’s intelligence and work ethic, his son’s – the reflection of their dad, while his daughter brought a light to his life that only a father can understand. Tyler was a devoted, loving father who always prioritized creating memories and providing for his children.

In 2019, Tyler remarried, finding the love of his life, Madison Lindsay. Madison was his greatest joy, his partner, and his source of strength. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with purpose, passion, and peace. In 2022, their son, Cache Calvin Kent, was born, completing the family Tyler adored so much. Madison and their children were everything to him—his reason to live each day and his greatest purpose.

Tyler was a man of quiet strength and deep sentiment. He was everything his family ever wanted or needed—strong, soft, thoughtful, and endlessly caring. He had a unique ability to make everyone feel seen, loved, and valued. Tyler’s thoughtfulness shone in the small, meaningful gestures that reflected just how much he cared for those around him.

Tyler’s adventurous spirit and zest for life were contagious. He loved fast cars, fast planes, and trying new things, always seeking ways to create cherished memories for his family. Whether it was a spontaneous trip, a thrilling experience, or a quiet moment at home, Tyler lived with purpose, passion, and peace.

He is survived by his loving wife, Madison; his four beautiful children: Kaden Tyler, Kyson Xavier, Miajolie Kent, and Cache Calvin Kent; his parents, Henry Moroni Kent and Diana Lynn Brandvold Kent; his sister, Erica (Lenny) Owens; and his brother, Derek Kent.

Funeral services for Tyler will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Myers Mortuary, 5865 S. 1900 W., Roy, UT, where family and friends may gather from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM prior to services.

Though Tyler is gone, his spirit remains a guiding light of kindness, adventure, and love. He will be deeply missed and longed for until the day his beloved family is reunited with him again.
