Tyler Michael Larsen

February 25, 2000 to July 1, 2023
Ty was born on February 25, 2000 and left us far too soon on July 1, 2023. His absence leaves

an unfillable void in our hearts, but we know we will be with him again.
His parents, Glen and Cami Larsen, were blessed to welcome Ty into their home at the age of

twenty-eight months to join his instant twenty-one month old younger brother, Nic. He was later

sealed to his family in the Ogden Utah Temple. Five years later, Ty and Nic welcomed their

younger sister Meili into their home.

Ty was an incredibly active toddler who loved to hide in unusual and tight places and sometimes

got into drag-down, knockout fights with his brother, despite their endless love. They were often

partners in crime and were adept at finding mischief.

Ty was always a hard-working student and overcame Dyslexia and other challenges. In the sixth

grade, he received the Earl B and Mildred R Cragun Award for excellence in achievement and

leadership. At TH Bell Junior High, he was honored for his grades, outstanding citizenship, and

physical fitness.

In school, he was good at anything spatial visual. He took art and pottery classes and especially

enjoyed his woodworking classes, in which he built end tables for his grandparents.

Ty graduated from Box Elder High School in 2018 after attending Bonneville High School, and

the Weber Innovation Center. Ty later studied to be an electrician at the Ogden Weber

Technical College.

Ty enjoyed working at Toad's Fun Zone for several years and continued working there on

weekends when he began his job at Lynn Woodward Electric. There, he was known as a

responsible, hard-working, fun-loving employee and colleague.

Ty loved indoor and outdoor soccer and playing for the Rampage Soccer Club and Coed AYSO.

He also enjoyed golf and represented Toads in a summer league. Ty was an excellent swimmer

and found joy in hiking and other outdoor activities. He was a coordinated and competitive

performer in almost everything he attempted.

He enjoyed boats, motorcycles, skydiving and really... anything that went fast or created a rush

of adrenaline. Ty always liked living in the moment.

Ty loved to snowboard with his friends and family and especially with his sister, Meili. As they

both grew older and became more and more competitive, they became serious rivals on and off

the slopes. Bowling was another sport in which they found a desire to challenge each other.

Ty enjoyed traveling and going on trips with friends and family and was able to visit many fun

locations, such as: Kauai, San Diego, San Francisco, The Redwoods, Chicago, Disney World,

The Oregon Coast, and Washington DC. In later years, he loved visiting family in Colorado,

enjoying its beauty, and the relationships he formed there.

Ty was a goofball, quirky and sometimes had a slightly inappropriate sense of humor. He and

his cousins enjoyed entertaining everyone with their silly antics. Their goal was to make

everyone laugh and they were usually successful. Ty had an endless variety of unusual facial

expressions. He could make typical board games and card games become hilarious activities.

In addition, Ty enjoyed solving puzzles and was instrumental in helping his family and friends

escape from breakout rooms.

Ty also could be quiet and often contemplative, with a heart of gold when he saw a need. He

could spend hours sitting and watching the ocean when he would visit his cousins in Kauai.

He was helpful with grandparents, caring for and joking with his grandma, Mimi, in her later

years. She often bribed him with promises of homemade french fries, hamburgers, pancakes,

and bacon.

Ty is preceded in death by his two special great-grandmothers, Wanda "Mimi" Lythgoe and Arel

Larsen, who he is now likely teasing endlessly, his beloved canine companion and roommate,

Harley, and many others who are celebrating his return.

Ty is survived by his parents, Glen and Cami Larsen; siblings, Nic and Meili; his favorite puppy,

Lily; grandparents, Gary and Trudy Gillman, Ronald and Joann Larsen; aunts and uncles, Dusty

and Nicole Gillman, Scott and Eryn Larsen, Krista and Bryan Carlson, and Bryan and Janae

Larsen; cousins, Ainge, Barkley, Daxton, Kai, Isabella, Alivya, Carter, Hailey, Amilya, Peyton,

CJ; and many friends.

Ty is also survived by his biological family in Colorado, Kristin and Josh Hardy, Madison, Caden,

and El'Lee, who he had become more acquainted with and grown to love over the last few years.

Friends may visit with family on Friday, July 7th from 6 to 8 pm at Myers Mortuary, 845 S.

Washington Blvd, Ogden, Utah.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 8th at 11 am at Myers Mortuary, 845 S. Washington

Blvd, Ogden, Utah, with a visitation between 9:40 am and 10:40 am.

Internment will be at the Willard City Cemetery, 470 North Main St, Willard, Utah.

In lieu of flowers, please perform an act of kindness, reach out to someone in need, as Ty often

did, or contribute towards a headstone on the Myers Mortuary site.
