Vada Naomi Groothuis Obituary (1914 - 2003)

Vada Groothuis Vada Naomi Wolfe Groothuis, 88, passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2003 at Rocky Mountain Care of Bountiful, UT of causes incident to age. She was born April 7, 1914 near Bird City, KS a daughter of Sherman Wolfe and Emma Rosella Van Guilder. She married Ed Groothuis May 16, 1937 in Culbertson, NE. Ed passed away October 22, 1991 in Ogden, UT. Vada was preceded in death by her husband, parents, nine brothers and sisters and an infant son, Clinton Groothuis. Surviving are her children, Vivian Antonik, Norwood, CO; Verlyn Groothuis, Twentynine Palms, CA; Carmen (Melvin) Stuart, Syracuse, UT; one sister, Ruby Anderson, Waunita, NE; one sister-in-law, Loraine Groothuis, South Ogden, UT; seven grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.
