Vassarionovich D'Jaro Hunter Obituary (1972 - 2003)

Vassarionovich D'Jaro (Novich) Hunter LAYTON - Our most beloved daddy, husband, son and friend passed away November 27, 2003. His presence will be missed by many people who loved and adored him. Novich was born in Abbeville, SC December 29, 1972 to Evelyn Patricia Hunter. Novich was the pride and joy in his mother's life, and he had a deep respect and love for his mother. Novich grew up in Abbeville, SC with a loving family. As a child he quickly developed a love and talent for playing sports. Novich and his mother moved to Stamford, CT in 1986. He quickly made many friends and became a star on Westhill's high school football, basketball and baseball teams. Novich has so many friends "back home" who he loved and was close to. He loved to go home to Stamford and hang out with his buddies. Many back home remember him as "Hersh", dark and sweet like a hershey bar. Novich had a way of making friends with everyone he met. Anyone would say what a great guy he was He went to college at St. Peter's College in Jersey City, NJ where he played baseball and basketball. He then transferred to Utah State where he graduated with his degree in 1997. Novich played basketball and football for Utah State and was loved by all of the Aggie Fans. He will never forget when the entire spectrum chanted his name to get him in the game. Novich was a graduate assistant football coach with John L. Smith and has a deep respect for the many coaches who influenced his life and were role models to him. Novich worked in Youth Corrections and loved working with children. He also worked for Cache Valley Electric as a Safety Director where he met many good people, especially his good friend David Spittle. He was employed by the TRANE company at the time of his death. Novich married his college sweetheart, Trisha Ann Green, May 31, 1997. Together they brought to this world the two most beautiful girls in the world, Hailee & Jaida. Those girls were the pride and joy in Novich's life and the twinkle in his eye. They will never forget their daddy for they love him so much. "Novich, my love, I miss you so much. I'll miss your handsome face and contagious smile. Thank you for making me part of your life. I can't wait to see you again and hold your hand. I know you are in the most beautiful place now and making even more friends. I love you with every inch of me. I will miss you telling me you loved me, you are forever in my heart." Trish He is survived by his family; his wife, Trisha; daughters, Hailee and Jaida; mother, Evelyn P. Hunter, CT; father, Johnnie Ray McCoppin, SC; grandparents, Georgia Mae & Earlie Finley, SC; half brother, Arakas Wright, SC; special cousins, Kym, Alisha and aunt, Lynda. He is also survived by his in-laws, Daryl & Barbara Green, Roy, UT and many aunts, uncles, cousins, niece, nephews, brother and sister-in-laws and great grandparents who will miss him so much. "Daddy we love you and miss you. We don't understand why you had to leave us but we know Heavenly Father is taking care of you and has big plans for you. We can't wait to see you again."
