Venice A. Newey

South Ogden - Venice A. Newey "Binnie", passed away on Sunday, December 6, 2009 at her home in South Ogden at the age of 95. She was born in Mayfield, Utah on January 13, 1914 to Mary and Peter Schow and was the last surviving sibling of her 8 brother and sisters. She married C. Russell Anderson in 1935, he passed away in 1975. They were active in Real Estate for many years. She remarried Elmer Newey in 1980 and they enjoyed bowling and fishing together. Elmer passed away in 1985.

Surviving are one son - Keith Auer Anderson and wife Janice of Atlanta; two grandchildren Chris Anderson and Julia Wright residing in Atlanta; and 6 great-grandchildren.

She enjoyed yard work and was an animal lover and contributed to Best Friends. She also enjoyed reading and bowling.

A special thanks goes to the excellent staff of Comfort Keepers and Grady Lane of Weber County Humane Services for their kindness and helpfulness to "Binnie".

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 12, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at Myers Mortuary of Ogden, 845 Washington Blvd. where friends and family may call prior to the service from 12 to 12:45 a.m.

Interment will be at Washington Heights Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Best Friends of Utah.
