Venna Hyde Smith Obituary (1921 - 2001)

Venna Hyde Smith OGDEN - Venna Hyde Smith, 79, died peacefully at home January 18, 2001. She was born November 25, 1921, in Fairview, Idaho, a daughter of Leslie Willmer Hyde and Edna Elvira Nelson Hyde. On August 12, 1941, she married William Harvey Bingham in Logan, Utah. They were later divorced and she married Borman Workman Smith on August 7, 1970. Their marriage was solemnized February 23, 1971, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. After retiring from IRS, she served as a worker in the Ogden Temple for 15 years. She is survived by her husband Borman; children: Veann (Monty) Bolton of Bluebell, Utah; Myrna (Dave) Indvick of Mountain Home, Arkansas; Lorna (Doug) Jennings of Price, Utah; Bradford Harvey Bingham of Mountain Home, Arkansas; and Lesli Jo (John) McBride of Hilo, Hawaii; stepdaughter Alysia (Mike) McGavarn of Everett, Washington; and stepdaughter MaryLynn (James) LaPlant of Everett, Massachusetts. Venna is also survived by her brother Orem (Peg) Hyde of Dunedin, Florida; sister LaVaun (Eldon) Fite of Fairfield, Idaho; and brother Rosel Hyde of Homedale, Idaho; 37 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Blaine Nelson Hyde.
