Veralie May Weber, age 88, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend passed away peacefully Monday, August 18, 2014. She was born June 19, 1926 in Cape May, New Jersey to Philip David and Lucille Gladys Swanner Hender. Veralie was sealed to Edgar Weber in the Salt Lake City Temple. From their union she was blessed with five daughters and four sons.
Veralie's life work was to be a faithful member of the LDS Church. As a member of the Clearfield 3rd Ward, she served in various callings, 15 years as an Ogden LDS Temple Worker, and in the family history extraction program for several years. She was also a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers. She enjoyed reading, walking, gardening, canning, relief society, and Temple work. She especially loved being with and serving her family.
She was a wonderful example to her family. She had a large family in which she always strived for love and peace. She exemplified Christlike love and unselfish charity to all who knew her. She will be greatly missed, but is now joyfully reunited with her eternal companion, Ed.
Veralie is survived by children, David (Naomi) Weber, Steven (Carol) Weber, Dan Weber, Carol (Joseph) Bebel, Debra Weber, Bonnie (Peter) Kranenburg; 29 grandchildren and 40 great grandchildren. She is also survived by siblings, Joan (Joseph) Cope, Roberta (Jon) Mathews, Sandra (Ben) Shelley, and Don (Rosie) Hender. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers and two sisters; two daughters and one son.
A special thanks to family, friends, neighbors, and ward members who gave love, help and concern to Veralie throughout the 24 years of being widowed.
