Verna G. Finley Obituary (1907

VERNA G. FINLEY Roy - Verna G. Finley passed away Wednesday, October 10, 2001 of cancer. She was born February 23, 1907 in Union County, Iowa, the daughter of Leroy and Blanch York Robinson. She married Herbert B. Finley on August 5, 1931 in Mitchell, South Dakota. She was a member of the Methodist Church. She and her husband were long time members of the Wasatch Samoyed Club and showed their dogs. She enjoyed working in her flower garden. She had good, caring neighbors whom she loved to visit with. She is survived by her children, Sharon (Bob) Gavin, Roy; Herbert L. Finley, El Segundo, CA.; 4 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, baby daughter, parents, brothers, Marion, Charles and C. Wayne Robinson. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice, 893 - 24th St., Suite 100, Ogden, Utah, or Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, Kanab, Utah. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M.
