Vernon N. Sitterud

ROY -- Vernon N. Sitterud passed away February 17, 2009 at home with his family by his side.

Vernon was born January 1, 1935 in Orangeville, Utah, to Carl E. and Revella Nelson Sitterud. He served in the army from 1957 to 1959. He worked at the Defense Ogden Depot for 37 years. He was a member of the LDS church where he served in many positions.

He married Shiela Joy Rich which was later solemnized in the Ogden LDS Temple. He is survived by one special grandson, Brody M. Sitterud; stepchildren, Debbie Gordon (Craig), John Rosas (Kami), Curt Rosas; six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; four sisters, Teola Gordon, Dorithea Ames, Hellen Colard, Patricia World; one brother, David E. Sitterud.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Shiela, and sons, Michael, Damien and Nathan.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 21, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the Roy 15th & 30th Ward Building. Roy. Friends and family may call on Friday from 6-8 p.m. at Myers Roy Mortuary, 5865 S. 1900 W., Roy, and at the church Saturday from 9:45 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment, Roy City Cemetery, 5200 South 2300 West, Roy.
