Veula Robison Zondervan Obituary (1910 - 2005)

Veula "Robbie" Zondervan RIVERTON - Veula Robison Zondervan, age 94, died on May 10, 2005 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was born October 2, 1910 in North Morgan, Utah to George M. and Alice Jones Robison. She was the eldest of seven children. She married Peter Zondervan on July 29, 1938. She received her Registered Nurse degree from the Thomas Dee School of Nursing and worked for more than twenty years at the old Dee and the McKay-Dee Hospital. She served as the Head Nurse for the OB-GYN floor. She faithfully served the Lord as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was expert at knitting, crocheting, sewing and many other crafts. Many a grandchild has enjoyed a warm sweater made by her. She is survived by two sisters, Edna Haws and Velma Nicholls; her only daughter, Judy Belka; grandchildren, Melynda Roberts (Troy), Denise Sharp (Kelly) and Robert Belka (Sheila); great-grandchildren, Hunter, Makenzie, Audrey, Austin, Andrew and Shayna. She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Ronald M. Robison, Earl G. Robison, Irvin D. Robison; Ina Jones; and her husband, Pete Zondervan. The family wishes to express their gratitude for all the care and loving that mother received at the Crosslands Care Center.
