Vickie Wagstaff

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Vickie S. Wagstaff, who departed this life on February 10, 2026. Born Vickie Stokes on September 12, 1950, in Ogden, Utah, she was the loving daughter of the late Darrell and Helen Stokes. Vickie was a compassionate soul who dedicated her life to her family and her work. She was married to her loving and supportive husband, Dennis Wagstaff, on Valentine's Day in 1990, a testament to the enduring love they shared.

Vickie was a dedicated employee of the IRS, where she worked diligently for 25 years as a Data Transcriber. She retired from the IRS after years of committed service, showcasing her thoughtful and diligent character. Despite her professional accomplishments, what mattered most to Vickie was her family, especially her husband Dennis. She was a beacon of love and support, always there for her loved ones in times of need. When she was not working, Vickie enjoyed bowling, but her favorite pastime was shopping and spending time with her family. Her family was her greatest joy, and she leaves them with countless cherished memories.

Vickie leaves to cherish her memory, her devoted husband, Dennis Wagstaff; her loving children, Holly (Brandon) Nielson and Dustin Wagstaff; her adoring grandchildren, Jace (Nicole) Johnstun, Skyler Johnstun, and Carson Wagstaff; her caring sister, Judy Wheelwright; She was preceded in death by her parents, Darrell and Helen Stokes, and her brother, Dennis Stokes.

A verse from the Book of Mormon, which Vickie held dear as a member of the LDS Church, offers comfort during this difficult time: "Wherefore, ye must press forward with a steadfastness in Christ, having a perfect brightness of hope, and a love of God and of all men..." (2 Nephi 31:20). It is a fitting testament to Vickie's loving and compassionate nature, and a reminder that her love and kindness will continue to guide us.

We invite all who knew and loved Vickie to leave memories and upload photos to her memorial page, to celebrate and remember the wonderful woman she was. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

A viewing will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd, Ogden, UT 84404. A service will be followed immediately afterward. Interment will be at Ben Lomond Cemetery.
