Wallace Ray (Wally) Lammert
1934 - 2008

WILLARD - After a lengthy illness, Wally took that last ride off into the sunset on Tuesday, October 28, 2008, from his home in Willard, UT with his family there to wave goodbye.

Wallace Ray (Wally) Lammert was born January 26, 1934 in Minatare, NE, the second son of William and Lola Herman Lammert. He received his schooling at Harrisburg, NE and Ridgway, CO. He willingly served in the US Navy from 1952 to 1956. He married Alberta (Bert) Perotti on October 24, 1955, and they were blessed with two sons, both of whom he loved dearly. He worked in and managed retail meat markets for over 40 years, mostly in the Ogden area.

He enjoyed camping and riding horses. He took several pack trips into the Uintah Wilderness with family and friends. He loved spending time with his sons and their families. Wally was always up for a good game of cards, especially Skip-Bo.

He was a member of the Willard 3rd Ward.

Survived by his wife Bert; sons Gary (Paula) of Lebanon, OR and Keith (Becky) of Willard. Also survived by his brother Jay (Diane) of Greendale, WI; six grandchildren, Shawn, Eric, Forrest, Keri, Levi and Denver. Also by Roger, Dave and Steve who all call him their second Dad; Konnor who calls him Grandpa; several nieces, nephews and cousins; two aunts; oldest and dearest friend Don Thorsted; and his buddy "my dog" Mancos. He also leaves many good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers Gerald and Larry.

We'll see you again along the trail. Bye for now.

The family wishes to thank Applegate Hospice, especially Becky, Jessica and Launi for all the months of loving care.

Services will be held Saturday, November 1, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd., Ogden, where friends may call prior to the service from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.
