Wilford O. Watkins Obituary (1921 - 2007)

Wilford O. "Doc" Watkins, DDS WILLARD - Wilford O. "Doc" Watkins, DDS, passed May 28, 2007. He was born April 8, 1921 in Snowville, UT the son of Thomas Watkins and Mildred May Carter Watkins. He married Emily Ann Herbst on April 1, 1978 in Ogden. He served with honor in the U.S. Navy's Coast Guard on the surgeon team during WW II. He practiced dentistry for 40 years, while continuing his life long passion for farming and ranching. He is survived by his wife Emily Ann; and children, Chris Godinez (Mike), TX, Carol Watkins (Pat), AZ, Debbie Hines, AZ, Bruce Watkins, AZ, Kathy Gilbert, Ogden, John J. Cox, Willard and Patti DeFries (Robert), Farr West; eight grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and one sister Eva Kunz, Roy. Preceded in death by siblings, Mildred, Norris, Joe, David, June, and a cherished brother, Ellis. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, June 4, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church, 495 N. Harrison Blvd. Friends and family may call on Sunday, June 3rd at Myers Ogden Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd. from 6 to 8 p.m. with a rosary at 7:30 p.m., also at the church Monday prior to Mass from 9:30 to 10:00 a.m. Interment Myers Evergreen Memorial Park, where military honors will be accorded.
