W. Doyle Hansen Obituary (1932 - 2017)

Willard Doyle Hansen, 85 passed away on Saturday, July 29, 2017 with his family by his side. Doyle was born on March 12, 1932 in Mantua, Utah a son of Clifford Hansen and Sylvia Nelson Hansen. He was a life time resident of Mantua. Doyle graduated from Box Elder High School. He married his sweetheart Carol Clark on November 13, 1953 in the Logan LDS Temple, together they had five children. Doyle was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he served as financial clerk for several Bishops. Doyle was on the Mantua Town Board for many years and was the Mantua Cemetery Sexton for over 40 years. He worked in the plumbing wholesale business for many years. Doyle enjoyed golf. He worked at the Brigham City Golf course and had three holes in one. Doyle liked to go fishing on the Madison River in Montana, enjoyed spending time with his family and taking care of his yard. Surviving are his wife Carol, children: Steven (Debbie) Hansen, So. Weber; Larry (Kristy) Hansen, Mantua; David (Laurie) Hansen, Brigham City; Jill (Doug) Nelson, Mantua; Eric (Melissa) Hansen, Tremonton; 14 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter-in-law Cindy Hansen, one sister and three brothers. Special thanks to Lynn Larsen and the Brigham City Community Hospital. Funeral services will be Friday, August 4, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Mantua 1st Ward Chapel, 237 S. Willard Peak Rd., Mantua, UT. Viewings will be Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Myers Mortuary, 205 S. 100 E., Brigham City and on Friday from 9:00 to 10:30 p.m. at the Mantua Church. Interment will be in the Mantua Cemetery.
