W. Glenn Butler Obituary (1943 - 2009)

W. Glenn Butler 8-8-1943 ~ 8-9-2009 CLINTON - After many years of trials, tribulations and pain from an extended illness, Glenn was finally called back home to our Heavenly Father. Glenn retired from the military after serving 20 plus years in the Army. He was a Vietnam Veteran with "The Big Red One" from Fort Riley, Kansas, 1965-66. Glenn worked at the Defense Depot in Ogden after his military discharge. Glenn was extremely strong minded, he was a man of great integrity, his word was gold and he expected the same of others. He was a super handyman, always busy to beautify his home. He was the family's rock, his advices will be missed by his entire family. To Dr. Kevin Gardner and his staff, the family say thank you so much for the loving care you provided to Glenn. Glenn was preceded in death by two children, son, Pascal Butler, daughter, Lorinda Butler Smith (Rodney) and a special grandchild "Little Pascal". Glenn is survived by his wife of 44 years, Louise Guillet Butler, two daughters Julie (Michael) Butler Maggiora, Christelle (Dean) Butler Miconi, 9 grandchildren, his mother, Virginia Bowers, sister, Debbie Blankenship brothers, Roger Butler and Billy Bowers, nephews and nieces. They'll miss you more who loved you best honey, R.I.P. Funeral services will be held Friday, August 14, 2009 at 1 p.m. at Myers Roy Mortuary, 5865 S. 1900 W. Roy. Friends may call on Friday at the mortuary from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. prior to services. Interment, Clinton City Cemetery where Military Honors will be accorded.
