William N. Jones

Ogden - On Friday, March 19, 2010, William N. "Bill" Jones joined his wife Myrth W. Jones in the arms of his Heavenly Father. Bill was born on April 15, 1926 to William and Florence Jones in Mount Vernon, IL.

He served in the Navy during WWII; at which time he met the love of his life, Myrth. They were married June 13, 1945 and spent 63 wonderful years together.

Bill spent most of his life serving God and others as a Southern Baptist minister, which he felt was his calling in life and enjoyed immensely.

He is survived by his children William N. Jones Jr., Peggy L. Chandler (Brian), Kristine Touse (Rob), Barry K. Jones (Lori), Leslie A. Woodruff (Jim), and M. Gayle Winter (Dave). He is also survived by one brother Larry R. Jones (Phyllis) and one sister Ethel Mae Donahoo; as well as 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Myrth West Jones; his daughters Karen S. Jones and Florence M. Hauser; his brother Harold (Bobby) Jones; his sisters Violet Ellis, Mildred Thomas, Emily Rostallan and Rosemary Olsen.

He was a loving father, husband and grandfather. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 23, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Roy, 2025 W. 5700 So., Roy, UT. Family and friends may call Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Myers Mortuary of Ogden, 845 Washington Blvd. and again on Tuesday from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the church.

Interment will be at Evergreen Memorial Park.
